Wordle

My friend Matt sent me a link to a pretty fun little tool called Wordle that makes word clouds out of any text you put in using some sort of frequency count. We've seen this kind of thing before of course with tag clouds, but Wordle is fun in that it uses any kind of text you can put in (there doesn't seem to be any limit) and that you can tweak and color and reshape the text until you get a pleasing arrangement.

The only thing I didn't like about it is that the embed code didn't work particularly well for me, otherwise pretty neat. You can save your Wordles and check out ones made by other people.

So what is this good for you may ask? Hmmm . . . .

I figured out a way to create a jpeg of the wordle rather than only have access to an embedded link!! SCREEN SHOT your wordle if that doesn't work well, PRINT but really save as PDF and then screen shot your wordle!! Words on PC also but you need to use photo editor once you take the screen shot to make it a bit more exact.
